New York University Skopje was founded in 2005 as private high education institution being accredited by the Accreditation Board of Republic of Macedonia and with a operational license by the Ministry of Education of Republic of Macedonia.
New York University Skopje is located in a contemporary university campus in Saraj nearby Skopje. The attractive university building includes classrooms, a large multimedia amphitheater, state-of-the-art computer labs and wireless connectivity, library, writing center, career advising, study rooms, faculty and administrative offices, cafeteria and student dormitories. The campus offers collaborative learning environment that encourages and values personal interaction between students and teaching staff. By offering a distinctive range of Bachelor, Master and PhD Degrees, New York University Skopje promotes educational, cultural, and economic development through innovative collaborations, external partnerships, and a strong commitment to diversity.
In 2007, New York University Skopje entered into academic partnership with Staffordshire University (www.staffs.ac.uk), one of the leading educational institutions in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The mutual cooperation is focused in the field of undergraduate studies, postgraduate studies, PhD programs, research projects, exchange & training programs for employees and students, as well as exchange of information and publications. The graduated students obtain a prestigious and internationally recognized degree by Staffordshire University and a degree by New York University Skopje.
The mission of New York University Skopje is to offer students the opportunity to obtain a university degree at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in a variety of academic and professional specializations; to provide them with theoretical knowledge and applied skills and the confidence necessary to pursue a wide range of career paths to succeed in diverse and competitive international work environments; to prepare them for becoming pro-active and productive citizens of the world community as well as to expose them to new ways of thinking.
